We were contacted by a retired Interior Designer to restore an antique Bergère Chair & Ottoman, and it needed the works!
We basically took the French Bergère Chair & Ottoman down to the frame. We replaced the webbing and all the stuff in between. We created a custom design with use of fabric and placement. Along with new foam. We also did joinery work and custom stain. We carry amazing lines of fabric. The Chair is upholstered in wool from Belgium and Farmers burlap on the sides. The ottoman is upholsterer in wool from Belgium. The wool fabric is through Kravet.

This was an interesting matching challenge A beautiful, extra large, intricate repeat pattern. And lots of edges coming together. But where the cushion meets the frame, or where the cushion meets the back, those aren’t clean edges, they’re rounded surfaces, this is where precision is king! Reflecting the talent of a Seasoned seamstress and Master upholsterer.

Reuphsolstery for the love of the perfect French Chair! The client's perfect arm chair was the Bergère chair as it is a chair designed in the Louis XV style, with an upholstered back and arms, and fitted with a loose tailored seat cushion. Here is what we did! Reupholstered... Fabric with texture... Created the perfect custom pillows with hidden zippers. Of course we added Passementerie! TRIM!

We were asked by the client to ensure that we preserve the treasured memories as well. Reuphsolstery... Fabric... Wood refinishing (striped and stained) but we matched the original colour of the old stain to ensure those memories were kept.
